Updated Polypainted Monster Model + Stylized Character Head

Image
Here is the finished product of my redesigned Creature from the Black Lagoon, as well as a stylized  head I created of the Disney's Hercules character Hades! -For the monster, I colored it similarly to how the original  Creature from the Black Lagoon was but added a few patches  of color around the face, belly and tail. I decided to give his  eye a jellybean material to give it a more "fishy" look in  contrast to the rest of him. Right and Left 3/4 view. Front and Profile View.  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -For Hades, I did my best to stick with how he was originally colored in the film, adding in some shadows and contouring to better define his eyebags, nose, and eye sockets. For his hair, I tried to do a flame texture similar to how it is done in the film. Front, Right and Left 3/4 View

Finalized Concept

Image
After reworking the original concept art a bit, I got the proportions of the arms, tail and legs to be more accurate, as well as changing a few of the original features (removing the angler antenna, and adding some spikes to the brow/chin area).    Concepts/references used to make the design (mostly from the Fallout franchise).

Stylized Creature/Monster pt.1 I chose to recreate a stylized version of The Creature from the Black Lagoon for this project. This is the main reference image I am using as it shows the head, hands, and feed separately, giving me a more detailed look rather than using the figure itself.
